Your first days

In your first days at LTU, you'll be invited to take part in our International Welcome Programme.

The International Welcome Programme is your chance to get involved with our international community, make new friends, and explore Leeds and its surrounding areas.

Below is the schedule for September 2024. There are various activities aimed to assist with your arrival and orientation.

Once you have confirmed your travel plans, please complete the 2024/25 Arrivals Form so we have these details and can provide any support you may need. The January 2025 arrivals form will be added to this page soon.

05 and 15 August

Virtual orientation for new International Students at 12pm UK time

20 August

Exchange sudents’ online pre-departure session

09 to 20 September

International Welcome Desk on Horsforth campus

15 September

Main move-in date for campus accommodation. To request a different move-in date, please contact [email protected]

16 to 22 September

Welcome Week for all undergraduate students

16 September

Walking tour of Horforth (including local supermarket). Meet in the Atrium near main reception, the tour will depart at 14:00.

17 September

Leeds city centre tour (including taking the train and walking tour). Meet in the Atrium near main reception, the tour will depart at 16:00. Students to pay for their own train tickets.

17 September

Evening social event - Drift karting in Leeds city centre

18 September

Postgraduate welcome evening

20 September

Evening social event - Boardgame café night in Leeds city centre
