You can still apply to start university in 2025, through Clearing.
You may also apply through Clearing if you received different grades than expected, you’ve changed your mind about the course you want to study or the university you want to attend.

What is Clearing?
Clearing is a way for you to apply for an undergraduate course through UCAS if you don’t have any offers by July.
Universities including Leeds Trinity, add course that still have places to Clearing.
You can apply through Clearing from Saturday 5 July for 2025 entry.
Can I apply through Clearing?
You can apply through Clearing if:
- you haven't received any university offers - or didn't want to accept any
- you haven't met the conditions of your offer
- you've changed your mind about the course or university you've applied for and have declined your place
- you're applying through UCAS after 30 June.

How does Clearing work?
- Register with UCAS, if you haven't already applied.
- Find out if you’re eligible for Clearing on UCAS Hub.
- Check our available courses and find one that you're interested in studying.
- You can call us on 0330 058 4266 to talk about the courses you're interested in.
Make sure you have your UCAS ID and results to hand before you call us.
If your results meet our requirements, you'll get a verbal offer. - Once you've received a verbal offer and you're happy, you need to accept it.
When you get your results, you'll be able to click 'Add Clearing choice' in your UCAS Hub account and enter the university and course details. - We'll see when you've added us as your Clearing choice, which we can then confirm as long as places are available.
The choices page of your UCAS Hub account will show when you've been accepted.
Can mature students apply through Clearing?
Of course!
There are no age limits when it comes to studying at university.
We welcome plenty of mature students to campus every year.
If you already have your results, you can apply from Saturday 5 July when Clearing opens.
I've applied to Leeds Trinity, but I'm worried about my results – will I be in Clearing?
We know that no two applicants are the same.
We base our offers on more than just your predicted grades – they're also based on your experience, your previous academic performance, and your personal statement.

If you'd like to choose a different course or university, you can decline your place through UCAS and apply somewhere new using Clearing.
Can I get accommodation if I apply through Clearing?
We've got a range of accommodation options available to suit all budgets and requirements.
Once you’ve accepted your place at Leeds Trinity through UCAS Hub, our Accommodation team will email you, inviting you to book your accommodation online.
If there is no availability in our halls, we'll give you the chance to join our waiting list and you'll be contacted if a room becomes available.
Alternatively, you can contact Unipol, the student housing charity in Leeds. They'll help you find suitable student accommodation.
What will happen to my student finance?
It's really important that you apply for student finance straight away if you haven't already.
You don't need to wait until you've got a confirmed place to apply, so don't wait until you've got UCAS offers.
If you apply for funding late, your money may be late.
If you have already applied for finance but your course or university has changed through Clearing, you must update your details as soon as possible.
How do I accept my place at Leeds Trinity?
When you've spoken to us on the Clearing Hotline and got a verbal offer, log in to your UCAS Hub to add Leeds Trinity as your Clearing choice.
You'll then be able to see the live status of your application.
When your place is confirmed, congratulations! You're coming to study at Leeds Trinity! We'll be in touch with everything you need to do next.

Take a look at the courses and universities you're interested in before you get your results - you don't need to wait until the day.

When you get your results, make sure you have your UCAS ID and your qualifications to hand, find somewhere quiet and call us to chat about your application.
If you have the title of the course you're interested in, that will help speed up the process.
